police officer christopher dorner is over. investigators are going over the charred remains found in big bear. >> there is a lot of apprehension today on any kind of celebration. this is not a celebration. it has been a very trying time or the last couple of weeks for all those involved. again, i would just like to express our deepest sympathy from our department. our hearts and prayers go out to the friends of the deputies that have been killed. the

investigation into the corner and said it and the homicides related to christopher darnedonor continue. the task force is still in place and it will work until there is nothing left to be done. there is still quite a bit of work to be done on this. what transpired in san bernadine no is being investigated by the san bernardino county sheriff's department. i have no comments on their investigation at this time. i can't tell you that the lapd has now moved back into a eight normal state of police operation. it began late last night. it will continue as far as a normal patrol operations. the

detective details, some of those are still in place. they will remain in place until the department and those protectees feel safe. as you know, until the investigation is amber and dino is concluded and we have any type of positive identification on what transpired up there, we still have some individuals in this department with great fear. when your life and the lives of your family are placed in jeopardy and threatened with death it is quite something to deal with. we have approximately a dozen or so of those protective details that will remain in place at this point. all other resources have been returned to their normal functions. we have been on tactical alert since early yesterday morning. we will remain in that status until further. at this time that is about all i have in terms of

investigation. if there are questions related to the dorner investigation that i'm able to answer, again i am not allowed to comment on anything from san bernardino. we have homicide investigations. the fact that the incident transpired yesterday, we will not speculate at this point whether not is christopher dorner. even if it was them, again we have a case to close. just because arrest warrants were issued and charges were filed in riverside, there is still a case pending in irvine. there is still much work to be done. we do not just stop an investigation because the suspected individual may no longer be available. >> (inaudible)
